Competitiveness Challenge Awards

Expanding on the success of last year's 2007 Competitiveness Challenge, MAGNET invites manufacturers to submit a quantifiable project that fits their strategic plan for growth and global competitiveness.

Through participation and the support of the MAGNET staff, manufacturers will be able to improve their ability to plan and implement a strategy, benchmark the company's value proposition, improve and acknowledge the teamwork in the organization and showcase the company's strong leadership.

Successful Competitiveness Challenge projects will focus on any of the following areas:

  • Innovation in product and process development
  • Expansion in global sales, sourcing and markets
  • Improved productivity
  • Corporate social responsibility efforts related to green and ecological solutions

The 2007 Competitiveness Challenge contributed almost $28 million in economic impact and 30 created and retained jobs to the northeast Ohio manufacturing economy. The 2008 Challenge promises to be even better.
